This workshop will consist of assembling a baby crib from card stock, covering the crib and draping it with material and lace as well as making a small mattress and pillow for the crib. You will also dress a small 1:12 scale hand painted porcelain baby doll ($45 value, handcrafted by Maria!) in a simple robe and bonnet.
Instructor: Maria Ray, Grand Master Porcelain Doll Artist, My Dolly’s Bebe | 1pm – 5pm | $90
Magic is in the air… Remember the days of your youth? Rainbows, unicorns, cupcakes… Well come and relive it with me making unicorn cakes and cupcakes! What could be better? These magical creations will make you smile and absolutely giggle. Unicorn horns are 3D printed and plentiful! So after you paint these beauties with magical dust you will learn to make a sliceable, textured Unicorn cake and cupcakes! Class includes detailed photo directions for reference when you get home, a complete cupcake kit, frosting star tip, cutters for the cake and ears and so many more tools and goodies!
Instructor: Ruth Stewart, Stewart Dollhouse Creations | 8am – 5pm | $120
Students will learn how to create realistic 1:12 plants using three techniques. You will leave with 3 coleus to which you will add your own contrast color, 3 Artemisia from pre-painted paper, Europys daisy plant and 2 young daisy plants, which you will create from pre-painted laser cut sheets and punched leaves. All the plants can be taken home in a flowerbed, which you will learn to make, and can be “planted” in your own miniature landscape.”
Instructor: Julia Tollafield, Tolly’s Treasures | 8am – 12pm | $50
